The Director of Business Development & Strategic Accounts is a leadership role at Adchor, responsible for driving agency revenue growth through new business acquisition, strategic account expansion, and consultative partnership development.

This individual will own the full sales lifecycle from prospecting and lead generation through to proposal development, deal closing, and ongoing account growth—while collaborating with internal delivery teams to ensure client success.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management
  • Lead senior-level client relationships.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts.
Financial & Performance Reporting
  • Report on account profitability, budgets, and forecasted revenue.
  • Track KPIs such as client retention, upsells, and new business wins.
  • Present monthly or quarterly business reviews to leadership.
Strategic Oversight
  • Align marketing strategies with client business goals.
  • Translate client objectives into actionable agency briefs.
  • Collaborate with strategy, creative, and media teams to shape campaigns.
New Business Development
  • Drive agency growth through lead generation and pitch leadership.
  • Work closely with marketing and leadership to position the agency in the market.
Team Leadership
  • Manage and mentor account managers or business development teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams on pitches and large projects.
Internal Collaboration
  • Act as liaison between executive leadership and client teams.
  • Provide feedback to creative and strategy teams from a business lens.
  • Support marketing with agency case studies, thought leadership, and PR opportunities.
